We have nearly 50 years combined experience that started in manufacturing and wholesale and migrated to retail in 1994 with the opening of our current location.
Building on the foundation of customer service and work ethic established by our founder George W. Johnson we strive to keep our commitment to customers by continuing our education on product knowledge and installation techniques through various trade classes and schools.

Rodney Johnson

Rodney Johnson has almost 25 years experience in the manufacturing, wholesale, and retail flooring industry. He graduated from The University of the Cumberlands in Williamsburg, KY with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1993 with a plan to be a football coach or elementary school teacher. When George Johnson decided to open Feel Good Floors in 1994, Rodney moved to Lexington, TN and discovered a new passion - flooring. His pursuit of excellence in sales, service and product knowledge resulted in numerous (and ongoing) certifications in carpet, laminate, hardwood and ceramic products. In addition, he has completed Mohawk University's Color Concepts and Designer Sales College. When not working in flooring, he and his wife Gena enjoy church activities, sports, time with family, fishing, gardening, and birdwatching.

Derrick Knowles has almost 15 years experience in the flooring industry. Derrick's academic background at Georgia Tech studying Textile Engineering made for a natural transition to Feel Good Floors. In 1999, George Johnson invited Derrick to join the Feel Good Floors sales team. Derrick and Tiffany (Johnson) moved to Lexington, TN. Like George and Rodney, Derrick also shares a passion and vision for excellence. His experience includes specialized Mohawk University courses. Organizations Derrick belongs to includes First Baptist Church, The Gideons, Lexington Rotary Club, and the Henderson County Republican Party. Derrick and his wife Tiffany also spend time at sporting events with their children Titus, Journey, and Liberty.
